One thing that reeaaallly gets to me is a person flossing with no money, at the club every weekend when their rent is overdue, spending and spending and spending when their credit is jacked up...ok that was more than one, but all of these scenarios are REAL issues that need to be handled. That's what an it-chick does, handles her business. If any of the scenarios strike a nerve with you, don't fret...that's why I'm here, to help not to judge :)

One thing that reeaaallly gets to me is a person flossing with no money, at the club every weekend when their rent is overdue, spending and spending and spending when their credit is jacked up…ok that was more than one, but all of these scenarios are REAL issues that need to be handled. That’s what an it-chick does, handles her business. If any of the scenarios strike a nerve with you, don’t fret…that’s why I’m here, to help not to judge .

“Smart Women Finish Rich,” written by David Bach, gives the 21-century women 9 steps to becoming rich by putting her money where her values are. Although the book is written by a man, Bach does a superb job of addressing the intellectual and emotional relationships that women have with money. He states in the book that his grandmother was a big influence in his life on the way he thought about money. At 7 years old she helped him buy his first share of stock. She most definitely taught him well!

Ok, moving on to the meat of the book. The reason this book is different from any other financial books I’ve read is because this is not just a simple “how-to,” but a book that requires a commitment by the reader to put the assignments and lessons into your daily routine. Bach fervently pushes the reader to define how they value money and assess whether or not their actions align with that value. One of my favorite exercises from the book is the “Values Ladder.”

Since being on my own, I’ve had a tough time being self-sufficient with saving money and paying bills. After telling my mentor about my problems she informed me to RUN and get this book, so now I’m informing you: RUN…don’t walk…and get this book. Luckily you don’t have to run far, click the picture to purchase the e-book. If you are serious about getting your monetary priorities in order, tired of being financially disorganized, want to finally be financially secure, or just simply want a good read then “Smart Women Finish Rich” will be a worthy investment for you. Enjoy!
